Is anyone here, or, does anyone know of, any published "authors" of graphic novels who live in the region centering on Charlotte, NC? We're thinking about library programming on this genre. Any leads appreciated. Thanks.

Scott McCloud is passing through and will be in town on January 13.

But I don't know anyone who _lives_ nearby.

There are a lot of folks in the Triangle area who are in the comics/GN industry.
Richard Case, who did work for Sandman, is in the area. So is Angi Shearstone, who's done some Batman work, and writers like Dan Jolley (Firestorm) and Lee Hammock (Halo). I don't know about Charlotte, but if you poke around the RTP area, you'll certainly get a bite.
