I just started the third of the Isambard Smith books by Toby Frost, Space Captain Smith and God Emperor of Didcot are the first two and this afternoon I started the third one- Wrath of the Lemming Men. Pretty lightweight space comedy but very entertaining.

Just started The Broom of the System. David Foster Wallace was brilliant. This isn't one of his best (so far), but it's still a stellar read.

Just re-reading some Dave Gorman books at the moment. Googlewhack is a particular favourite, never fails to make me laugh. His books are non fiction and some of the best in the genre in the UK.

Lolita by Nabokov. Wouldn't have thought it funny but I'm laughing aloud while reading...reminds me of Confederacy of Dunces and Portnoy's Complaint.

Now starting Repossession Mambo in the future, with a man who repossesses artificial organs when the recipient falls behind on their payments. black humor, I think.

I was reading Harvard Lampoon's parody of Twilight, called Nightlight, until I discovered that I had a defective copy. Sigh.

I'm taking a quick break in the middle of George Carlin's memoir, Last Words. What a beautiful book.
