I am really interested in reading Aesop's Fables again. I know that I have read some but it was long ago and I think my edition was lacking some of the lesser known stories. Does anyone have a suggestion of an addition. I'm in Australia so unfortunately the Barnes and Noble Classic Edition is a bit expensive once you add postage.

There is a Penguin classics edition of the complete Aesops. Here is an Australian link http://www.seekbooks.com.au/book/The-Complete-Fables:-Complete-Fables/isbn/97801...

For buying books from international sites, always check www.bookdepository.co.uk or .com as they offer free postage to international addresses. I use both sites alot and have never had a problem.

I know this is rather late, but Folio Society has a decent edition of Aesop's fables with some really nice illustrations. My only complaint is that they use the Latin names for the gods instead of the Greek. This edition would be very appropriate for actually reading to children. If you want more of scholarly approach, try "Aesop without Morals" by Lloyd W. Daly published by Thomas Yoseloff.
