Has anyone read The Spirit Level by Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett? (published by Penguin). It has some very powerful and scientific arguments to support the cause of equality. I've just finished it in one afternoon. Also visit www.equalitytrust.org.uk.

" All Men Are Created Equal" is a popular maxim.
No. It will never be a reality.
Who will drive the buses, clean the streets and so on?
It will always be " employer and employee " situation.

Hi skoobdo. Speaking as someone who's driven trams (that's trollies to north American readers) I didn't have a problem with the actual job. We had a union and 20000 a year, which is good for those of us who didn't get to university. The problem was the areas of South London I had to drive through. High crime, very few police and youth gangs who's idea of the perfect Saturday night was to break tram windows. Its the social problems that destroy society and they get worse as societies become more unequal.
