Marlena's Journal documents the price that I paid as a female contractor trying to uphold fair housing laws in the State of Minnesota. I was jailed for refusing to evict blacks from their home. The courts were used at the State and Federal level to retaliate against me for refusing to become a victim of arrogance and abuse of power.

This is a "Must Read For Every American". See: www.Marlena's Journal.com

This sounds like the sort of thing that Michael Moore would be interested in. Have you seen his film "Capitalism, a love Story" ? In this country its not easy to evict people. Even squatters can hang on for years. Only the police have the authority to physically drag people away.

And they do it---especially in the reactionary areas of the country.

It's easy to evict a person -- if one has a legitimate reason to do so. The landlord's contrary, and false, lament is simply a rant against actual establishment of equality before the law for all.

"Only the police have the authority to physically drag people away."

Not so: I know of a housing court judge who sentenced a tenants' rights advocate to jail for contempt of court -- no police necessary. And who from time to time sentenced recalcitrant landlords to live in their for-profit slum housing until brought up to codes -- no police necessary.
