Fantasy Romance Series about sisters, Help Can't Remember

I am trying to remember the name of a fantasy romance series. It is fairly recent, I remember reading one of them April of 09', and it was new at that time. It is a series about 4(?) sisters who are called Guardians(?liason between worlds)

They each take care of some part of the world. I want to say one of them was the liason between demons, one underwater creatures, I think. They are able to teleport for lack of a better word. I remember at least one of them putting her forearms together and that allows them to leap to a different world.

All the sisters try to lead human lives, one of them is a nightclub owner, i think one owns several art galleries and i want to say one is a scientist(librarian type). They have a huge house with headquarters i think in the basement, their mother is involved in the stories and she is on some sort of council.

The last books I remember reading was where one of the sisters fell in love with one of the bodyguards/workers at the headquarters.

I am sure I could remember more if I kept thinking about it but the author and titles are a blank. Please Help

It sounds like it could be the Caruthers sisters series by Candace Havens. The first one is The Demon King and I and the second is Dragons Prefer Blondes. I haven't read either yet, so I can't really help you out on the plot. Hope this helps!

I was thinking it sounds like a series by Yasmine Galenorn. I could be wrong though.

no it's not Yasmine Galenorn's Otherworld Series, as there are three sisters and no mother involved. They all are different talents rather than liasons.
