The Disciplinary Panel thread is for resolving disputes concerning members' behaviors.

I've already listed the top levels for BIC2 and E4Libraries on previous threads. Both are aimed at the supply chain and the original sources are a google away.

Come on Andyl, the thread rule was to not be cluttered with comments - just classification schemes. So we know what we are working with.

Why couldn't you cut and paste those renditions into the new thread? Did you notice how many renditions I cut and pasted? Andyl, just because you know of the existence of the renditions, and you memorized their designations, and are snide enough to refer us to a random access search engine - don't think that the rest of us are mere mortals to your intelligence - assume we are completely stupid, and you have to do everything possible to help us see the light of your wisdom.

I would suggest that you start your own group for whatever you're trying to do here, rather than hijacking Tim's. The OSC as Tim conceived it is currently dormant and probably dead, true, but it would be far less confusing for all concerned if you start a new group (and post here for anyone interested) rather than just suggesting that what you're doing is the same thing.

All you want to do is complain about leadership.

failure to achieve the critical mass of members

We had that at one point. Our input just wasn't used, which made a lot of people lose interest. It's as though each and every line of source code contributed for an open source project had to be vetted by a single person before being included in the final product, which made a lot of people give up. (There's no good parallel in this analogy for laena's obstinate refusal to admit that members might know more than her on some subject-matter issues, like, say, that birds are animals, but that certainly didn't help, either.)

You're going to claim that you had something achieved concerning OSC, the activities have been dormant for over a year, and there is no public rendition being used, and that although you may not know how to organize the project you know when something is of someone's domain of control, although it has been declared to be of open-crowd source development - right?

It's open-source what are you claiming to be the limits of development?

Okay, I'll start a group. http://www.librarything.com/groups/oscproject#forums

As directed I have commenced a group to relieve this group of any burdens of its past.

I can't join or post to that group, only watch it. Did you set it up as invitation only to join?

Yes, I set it up as a member only in order to regulate and build the organization with out some of the problems I recognized that occurred in this group. The first problem to address is that members have to demonstrate some ability to devise and render a classification scheme. Do you have a classification scheme to offer to the cause?

One might imagine that a self-appointed leader would need to demonstrate some ability as well. At minimum, the ability to maintain open discussion without hostility is key. A group "lead" in rather dictatorial fashion by a self-described lunatic might be expected to sink like a Zeppelin, after all. Also, stealing the initials from an open-source project in an attempt to mislead for personal gain does not tend to engender goodwill or intellectual contributions.

Well, what can you do?

Maybe the hostility is because you all recognize that you have nothing to show for all the time you spent believing that you were doing something in the approach of an ideal, and I am giving you the path without the coddling and appeasement of the worthlessness of your past???

Self- appointed leadership is the best thing to happen to this project in over a year, and I assure you my expert leadership is the best thing that has ever happened to this project. Good luck trying to accomplish anything on this project with out setting deadlines and critique analysis of renditions, because there is nothing more important to the project then that. And I know that because I am an expert, and I am trying to help you guys.

Believe me pal, the acronym for my rendition is not OSC. And I'll use OSC for an open source project, because it is appropriate.
