Coast City Comics is the new kid on the block, perched on Congress Street in the same stretch of shopfronts as Blue and Enterprise Records. Stocking a good inventory of back issues and a wide range of incoming new titles, they offer subscriptions for the serious comic freak and a pleasant browsing environment for those of us who would rather graze about through the paper and ink foliage.

The staff is enthusiastic and friendly. The walls are lime green. There are many comics, and delicious artwork, as well as assorted other goodies, tshirts, and whatnot.

Plus, next door to it is their partner business, The Fun Box Monster Emporium, which is packed full of all sorts of crazy toys, vintage monster stuff, and pop culture madness of all sorts.
