It is a story within a story. I had to start twice, the first part is difficult to follow and needs maximum concentration. After you are in the story the reading is easier. I very much enjoyed the style. You can feel with the gradnfather and you can also imagine the feelings of the tiger's wife. The weakest part for me is the final chapters that try to explain something, but you are left with the feeling that it explains only half. And I don't know if I want to hear a full explanation. After all, it is also a story about supernatural things. Nevertheless I can recommend this book. Remembering childhood stories her grandfather once told her, young physician Natalia becomes convinced that he spent his last days searching for "the deathless man," a vagabond who claimed to be immortal. As Natalia struggles to understand why her grandfather, a deeply rational man would go on such a farfetched journey, she stumbles across a clue that leads her to the extraordinary story of the tiger's wife.
