Stacy tried to keep her diabetes a secret. “Who needs to be tucked in?” Baby Pig, Baby Zebra, Baby Elephant, Baby Alligator, Baby Moose, Baby Hedgehog, and Baby Peacock do! This is exactly what the reader gets to do. Each page presents an animal in need of being tucked in. The next page is only half the size of the rest and turns into the blanket under which the baby animals snuggle. The book, however, is very monotonous. Every other page asks which animal needs tucking in next. These pages are all blue with yellow stars and moons surrounded by black lines. The page next to the first animal has only one star and an additional star is added to each page until there are seven stars next to the seventh character. The other pages show each two-dimensional animal surrounded also by black lines lying on a pillow with a plain white background. The colors of the blankets change to match either the character or his or her pillow. Other than changing the name of the animal, the text on each page is identical. The first and last pages differ slightly. Each page contains only one or two sentences. This book may be enjoyable for some toddlers who just love to turn pages. The stars will also help the youngsters with their counting and animal recognition skills. This book is recommended for preschool aged children and younger. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
