Reading Level: 8-12 This book is a collection of one word poems. This means that each poem is made from the letters of one word. It is interesting how some good poems can be made from one word like, chocolate = hat, coat, hot coca. There is a message or meaning from each poem, but it is not always obvious to the reader. It was not engaging for me. This book is a collection of poems which are made solely from a single word. The author writes the word again and again and then deletes letters in order to make a poem. The poems can be hard to read in this format, so on the following page, he includes a more condensed version of the poem. Each poem is illustrated with watercolor images which surround the poem. These images don’t have a lot of detail and only use red and black paint, but they go well with the sparse nature of the poems themselves geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
