Not to be read before lunch or immediately after. A fun and silly collection of animals, insects, and nature told through poems. The poems are short enough to entice kindergartners yet 5th graders will find some humor and interest in them as well. The artwork is simple, no background or human embellishments, yet they are detailed enough to amaze readers. It was interesting to learn about what various animals eat, however, I didn't care for it conveyed via poetry. The illustrations were fine- nothing special, but not bad. They did a good job of varying the layout from page to page so it was interesting to read visually, I just don't tend to care for poetry in general. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
