Ten birds encounter some strange contraptions and use them to get across the river one by one. Each contraption forms the number of birds left. It is somewhat silly because the birds can fly, and also there is a bridge they can walk across. A basic counting book. Ten different birds struggle to cross a river, each bird finding an innovative and individual way of crossing the water. This book teaches young readers that we don't all approach challenges in the same way and that we can arrive at individual conclusions. Each bird is original, yet effective in its style of crossing the river. The last bird doesn't do anything brilliant or dramatic, he just walks across the bridge. His simple, but direct solution shows readers that we all arrive at our destinations in different ways, and that we must find the method of journey that is most appropriate for us individually. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
