Makes a lot of sense though if truth be told. Maybe I am much more Orthodox than I thought. A nice, cover-all-the-bases type book about Juadaism. It doesn't get into anything terribly deep, but it breaks down a lot of essentials, like what exactly you are and aren't supposed to do on the Sabbath, what Purim is, etc. I wanted a very basic introduction, and so I was very pleased with this. If Donin had gone into more detail, I think I would've been annoyed since he doesn't seem to be ok with things like inter-marriage and female rabbis and homosexuality. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
