She helped and led the underground rail road system that allowed slaves to escape and not be caught. This book takes place during the civil war and focuses on slavery. This would be a great book to use in a lesson in civil rights or possibly for black history month. Even though it is a tad bit lengthy, the story is told in a great way that keeps the reader engaged. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
