Ik had hoge verwachtingen van dit deel van de Belgarionkronieken en dat werd wat gekelderd in het eerste deel van het boek. gelukkig maakten de laatste 100 blz veel goed en was er hier en daar wat actie te lezen. Ook de introductie van een aantal personages heeft veel goed gemaakt. Zo was er de kennismaking met moddermensen en slangenmensen. Stiekem hoop ik dat we nog wat meer te weten zullen komen van deze. Al bij al een goed boek dat vlot en gemakkelijk leest. Ik zou het zeker aanraden voor elke beginnende en gevorderde fantasylezer. ( )
