asukamaxwell: Robert Eighteen-Bisang edited as well as provided an introduction to this book, and it falls well into the "vintage" category. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is best known as the creator of Sherlock Holmes, as he himself said "one would think I wrote nothing but detective stories." But his vampire stories are just as good, I think, and one gets to see how his friend Bram Stoker, author of Dracula, inspired these early works.… (meer)

As you read, not only can you study the evolution of the vampire genre but also the many forms in which a vampire can appear in fiction.
