For me, I'm a bit of a steam-punk junkie, and I love fantasy/adventure/action/romance books. Frankly, the series took everything I loved and put it into one tale. I recommend it as an excellent read. Personally, I found the ending left me in triumph, and joy, but just a touch of sadness that it's over, and the heroes lives will go on without me being able to read them. Crazy as it sounds, for me, they're real, and alive somewhere, living their lives. I've never encountered this feeling with any other book or series, and it's on par, or a tee up from even Harry Potter. Nothing pretencious, just simple humour, wit and an epic journey. Loved it. "The earth-shattering final book of the Laws of Magic series! Aubrey Fitzwilliam, renegade and traitor. Instead of clearing his name in Albion, Aubrey has chosen to pursue his enemy, Dr Mordecai Tremaine, deep into the heart of enemy territory. What he uncovers about Dr Tremaine's plans promises to change the course of the war and the future of humanity itself. A hideous combination of electrical science and soul-shattering magic is bringing the world far closer to the edge of the abyss than anyone apart from Aubrey realises. Aubrey must risk everything, or there'll be no world left to save." Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
