I liked this book, and had it in a coffee table position for a few months. Needless to say, everyone took a gander, and had an opinion. I must say though, that I have a soft spot in my heart for the women from the 70's...long, natural hair; natural curves; natural breasts; and much more diverse in appearance overall. The articles of retrospection were also entertaining as well as relevant for the anniversary theme. One odd aspect of this book, is that it's like a flip book of changing ideas of what a sexy woman looks like. As time goes on, the models get blonder, and more 'done'. By the late 1980s, the models look creepifyingly similar: blond, tanned, with fake tits, fake nails and a metric butt load of makeup and airbrushing. I way prefer looking at earlier decades.
It’s an intoxicating collection—provoking no small amount of loopy nostalgia. But that’s all part of its charm.
