However, she didn't understand how deep these feeling ran until she married Trevor and Ethan married Sherri. When Ethan is hurt in a bad accident, Rose finally understands that she loves him. But, will circumstances allow them to come together? A pleasurable evening can easily be had by pouring a nice glass of wine, curling up on the couch and immersing onesself in "Leaves of the Fall." ( ![]() free e-book received in exchange for a review This novella had a good story line, and some development, but it could have used more. The motivations for people's actions were not very well explained. Love, infidelity, and struggling to cope in difficult situations were the main themes. The emotions of the main character were well developed, but the minor characters seemed one-dimensional. I was kind of disappointment in this book. I think the story line and characters need alot of work but it has great potential. The ending was all right but the book seemed kinda rushed and lacked alot of detail. The book Leaves of the Fall is about a woman on a journey who realizes she's married the wrong man and is in love with another. Deze bespreking was geschreven voorLibraryThing lid Weggevers. Life is definitely not rosy for Rose, as she gradually realizes she in trapped in a loveless marriage to an unfaithful and uncaring spouse.*** Author Violet Yates explores a wide range of emotions first love, infatuation, marital love, lust and unfulfilled love as told through Rose’s relationships with the man she loves and the man she thinks she loves. “Leaves of Fall” is a typical story of one person in a group of ordinary people living ordinary lives. Rose’s viewpoints on her life as she lives it, her thoughts and actions, doesn’t find her taking responsibility for her role in her relationships. Instead, the story is a “lay in the bed you made”, with a could have, should have, and would have if somebody else hadn’t made the decision for Rose. Husband Trevor, best friend Missy, friend Ethan, and Ethan’s wife Sherry are superficial characters used to direct action flow from plot to subplot and back again. Character motivation needs further development to understand why Rose and Ethan are so easily controlled and deceived by their spouses. Rose’s transition from co-dependency to free will freedom is glossed over in one leap of faith, a brief understated epiphany. The ending is uncomfortable, like there should have been more done to resolve Rose’s and Ethan’s situations. Deze bespreking was geschreven voorLibraryThing lid Weggevers. This book had some interesting ups and downs for its characters. I began to find myself worrying about the main female character and whether or not her husband was abusive to her. I, myself, was hoping for a Disney-happy ending, but it didn't come. It was a nice short read, but didn't leave me hopeful for our world right now. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
