DNF at 40% It's OFFICIAL>>This book feels like a replica of the prior two with minor details changed (and actually the beginning felt fresh, Ty felt really different) I got through the last one because of the sexy times. I quit this one partially due to the overuse of the word sexy. Go figure. It's a total shame that this felt like it was borrowed from Burton's prior work because I like Ty’s brand of alpha more than anything about this book. He’s so confident, he doesn’t flip when he sees Jenna pick up another man. Sure, he’s slightly jealous, but he notices they lack chemistry, and keeps his chill. I think I’ve seen that approximately never in a romance before. Not purposefully that I can recall any way. Why is this amazing? I feel like it’s how a mature confident man would typically act. My husband is not really either of those things but he still manages to be confident in me ending up with him without being a jealous d-bag. What a bummer. Because, like, these covers. Maybe it's just better to eat these than read them anyway... Taking a Shot 2 Stars Boring and annoying. Jenna is an immature, idiotic and self-absorbed whiner, and her so called self-sacrifice made me want to slap her silly. Tyler is a sexy sweetheart but even he couldn't save this book as it is completely incomprehensible how such an intelligent and sensitive man would want to have anything to do with Jenna. The romance falls flat and the conflict is completely contrived. Even the steamy scenes can't save it. The hockey scenes are boring and remind me of why I dislike sports books. May continue sometime if I'm in the mood. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

HTML: If you want to score, you have to get in the game... The last thing Jenna Riley needs is more sports in her life. While her brothers are off being athletic superstars, she's stuck running the family's sports bar, whether she likes it or not. Then in walks pro hockey stud Tyler Anderson. As much as Jenna would like to go to the boards with him, she's vowed to never fall for a jock-even one as hot as Ty. Ty, intrigued by the beautiful bar owner, becomes a regular. He senses that Jenna wants to do something more with her life. And as he gains her trust, the passion between them grows, as does Ty's insistence that Jenna should start living for herself. With his encouragement, Jenna starts to believe it, too... But first, Jenna has to figure out what she wants, what she needs, who she loves, and if she has the passion and pride to take a shot at having it all-including Ty... .Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

I liked this book a lot, and we all know how I cannot walk past a hockey romance without pausing to consume! I think the singing sub-plot knocked the rating down for me a bit. ( )
