Jack's Granny is sick with a bad case of the moozles! And the only cure is the fruit of the fantastic flumflum tree which grows on the faraway Isle of Blowyernose. It's a perilous journey, but Jack bravely sets sail, with a motley crew of only three, and a large patchwork sack that Granny has filled with an odd assortment of items from chewing gum to tent pegs. But what use will they be against hungry sharks, a leaky boat and a thieving monkey? Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

Trouble starts when the team reaches the island and gets the fruit. A monkey steals the fruit - did Jack get back his fruit? Did the kids return home? Did they save granny?
This is our second book by the author after [b:The Gruffalo|1013383|The Gruffalo (Gruffalo, #1)|Julia Donaldson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1329674496l/1013383._SX50_.jpg|999507]. We were curious about the flumflum tree in the title and picked the book. The story flows beautifully with rhymes and repeated phrases, making it a perfect pick for a read-aloud session. In addition, it shares intense messages of helping someone in need, working as a team, and learning to manage obstacles humorously. The illustrations are adorable.
