The glimpse of the characters in a setting outside of their usual element was fascinating. This was well written and you can tell that there was collaboration by the original creators of the characters of Rain, Jack Reacher, and Cotton Malone. I found it refreshing, partly because I have mostly read YA of late, but also because it stripped away the fact that authors are only out to compete with themselves.
