Great informational book that teaches facts about cats and dogs. Colorful pictures and graphics accompany the text make it a bit easier to comprehend. I could see many students enjoying this book while learning about their favorite pets. (

Not only is this a good informational book, as it is about real animals, but it compares and contrasts the animals. Compare and contrast is a requirement of common core. This book compares each animal from behavior to senses, and has a winner or draw in each category. Elementary children will enjoy the comparisons made withing the book.
