I wanted to like it. Delaney, journalist doing her best to rid her town of a corrupt official, Tyler, a hot man who's the father of her child and some *kinda* creepy but mostly hot voyeuristic sex between the female lead, the male lead and her paralyzed husband.
Then Tyler sneaks into bed with her and sexually assaults her in her sleep after Delaney has explicitly said she doesn't want a physical relationship with him.
An orgasm doesn't excuse sexual assault.
So, I closed the book and if I could have thrown it across the room I would have, but I don't want to buy a new ipad. ( )

This book was okay but not really my cuppa. There was some suspense but there was an awful lot of sex scenes mixed in. In fact the suspense was IMO not developed well enough because so much time was spent with the sex. These two reuniting lovers had so much emotional and relationship stuff to work through that the suspense part seemed unnecessary to me. We didn't know anything about the heroine's back ground and only barely more about the hero. The sex scenes were fairly well done if that's what you're looking for. ( )

Series note: This is book #6 in the Wicked Lovers series and while characters from previous stories do put in an appearance, the plot does not necessitate reading in order.

Every once in a while, a book is mentioned in one of my groups that catches my eye. At times these are gems awaiting discovery but at other times, they are better left hidden. This is one of the rare occasions where neither applies, but it was, nevertheless, worth the effort.

Tyler and Delaney have intense chemistry and their scenes together are scorching. The suspense plot is predictable but keeps the pages turning.

All in all, a pleasant way to spend a few hours. ( )

What it was supposed to be. Great romance, sexy sex, stupid and obvious suspense story. It would have been a 4 but for the use of "Homey" several times to denote a Black gang banger. The usage was both horribly dated and pretty darn racist. ( )
