The story was written really well and the themes reinforced by this book are timeless. Any student would benefit from reading this book. Even though this book was not written from first hand experience, I believe the book does a good job of building empathy in the minds of its readers. I would recommend this book for fifth through middle school age students. This book is about a boy name August trying to feel fit in and be accepted into the school. Because he struggling with facial deformities, everyone makes fun of him and discriminates against him for his looks. August trying to change and overcome the fear of scaring everyone and people judging him. This is a great book for high schoolers and education. This book would be appropriate for intermediate and middle school age children because it is a chapter book, however each chapter is fairly small, about 2-3 pages. In the book, August, a boy with some facial differences, goes to school for the first time and struggles to make good friends as he figures out what school is like. This book would be suitable for a read aloud over a period of days, or it could also be used as a beginning chapter book for students who are getting into reading longer sections of books. It is also a good book that deals with bullying and being kind to one another. This story tells the unique tale of August, a young boy born with facial deformities. Auggie has struggled to fit in and make friends all is life due to the unique way that his face look. Being outcasted by his peers and facing the hardships of rejection, Auggie learns a lot about life. This book is a great read for anyone that wants a heartwarming but emotional read. This book is great for middle schoolers and anyone that feels like they don't fit in.

This book is lovely and I would recommend it to everyone. I am really pushing it at home for my own kids but am having a hard time convincing my 11-year old son because everytime he saw me reading it, I was crying. Good crying, but crying none the less. A real feel good book that is enjoyable and well written. (
