Well that was exciting! These last few chapters fhuw! Basilards POV was very interesting, a bit bleak in the beginning but it got a lot better. Somehow it gave a whole different feel to the action scene's than usual, very silent.

And well that cliffhanger makes me want to gobble up the next book right away! (

I enjoy the books in this series so much! Every time I finish one, I just want to start the next, which is surely the sign of a successful series. I'm so invested in these characters now, I just want to know how everything works out for them! (And of course, their ongoing adventures are always intriguing.) It's no wonder Buroker is so successful! (

Drama at the Imperial Games and drama among the Emperor's Edge, as the men seem to be turning against each other. As usual, all Amaranthe and her men want is to be recognized for the good they've done yet all they get is blamed for the bad they haven't done. (

A sea monster? Oh my! Here we find out a little more about the magical system, but it's still all very convenient to me. I did enjoy the overall story, even though it's becoming a little formulaic, however, the next book promises to be intriguing. (

Interesting sequel because of the romantic storyline. Seeing practical Amaranth trying to find a bit of love was fun. (
