Dawson and Beth's romance isn't the sizzler that Daemon and Katy's is. But it is still super sweet. I decided to read this book after I had already finished the first 4 books of the Lux series. So I have already started to get to know both Dawson and Beth, but they are different in the main series now. It was a fun book and it was great seeing how those two started out. There are spoilers to the first book in this one. I don't suggest reading it in chronological order. I would go with published order to avoid these spoilers and also get a better understanding of everything as it's all explained better and in more detail in book one Obsidian. How I choose my rating: 1* Didn't like it at all. These are rare as I usually just don't finish any book I dislike this much. 2** Didn't like it. Again usually DNF if I dislike it this much, but occasionally I feel it still has potential and I try to stick with it to the end. 3*** I liked it. It wasn't great but it was enjoyable enough. It is unlikely I'll ever reread it but I'll probably finish the series if it is a part of one. 4**** I really liked this book. Maybe not a work of genius, but highly entertaining. I might reread this at some point, and I will finish the series if part of one. 5***** I loved this book. I found little to no issues with it at all. I will probably reread this and possibly more than once. I will finish the series if it's part of one. I went into this without knowing anything. I was surprised by how much I liked it. It’s YA PNR where the non-human is an alien. I didn’t even read the blurb so that was even an unknown to me. I mostly liked the characters and plot throughout, but definitely that ending caught my attention the most. I’m eager to continue the series. I thought this was a pretty good short story for the series, unlike other people who have probably read the other books first, I read this one first then I'm going to continue on to the rest of the series. I'm pretty excited to delve into this series, and it totally reminds me of cocoon which ironically was mentioned in the book a few times. But all the same, it seems like it's going to be a pretty interesting adventure to take and now, I have many questions that I am seeking to be answered. See what happens when you read a short story prequel instead of starting like most people have lol. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Onderdeel van de reeks(en)Lux (0.5)
The last thing Dawson Black expected was Bethany Williams. As a Luxen, an alien life form on Earth, human girls are . . . well, fun. But since the Luxen have to keep their true identities a secret, falling for one would be insane. Dangerous. Tempting. Undeniable.Bethany can't deny the immediate connection between her and Dawson. And even though boys aren't a complication she wants, she can't stay away from him. Still, whenever they lock eyes, she's drawn in. Captivated. Lured. Loved.Dawson is keeping a secret that will change her existence . . . and put her life in jeopardy. But even he can't stop risking everything for one human girl. Or from a fate that is as unavoidable as love itself. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
