Both suspects react violently to the threat of exposure, and shortly afterward two hired gunmen try to kill Ray. Following that, even more desperate attempts to silence him are made. In response, Ray resorts to skills learned in his past life to stay alive. But from his past, he must confront a dark secret of his own, one that is even more dangerous being shot at by the hired hit men. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

Macy, daughter of Kelly Brandt, does not believe, that her mother has committed suicide. Also Kelly’s life insurance won’t pay up in case of suicide, so all the more reason to want to prove that her mother was murdered. Kelly was an escort by profession with a gambling problem. This resulted in gambling debts with the mob. The mob suggested her to pay off the debts by acting in pornographic rape video’s, which could be seen at a fee on internet. Unfortunately, also her fiancée is not quite reliable. For one, he dates more women and has more fiancées, also he made sneak video’s when Kelly was working. Also these video’s could be seen on the internet, if you paid the fee.
After some implausible fighting and killings, Ray solves the puzzle. Also, he decides to come clean with his past and decides to tell his wife all his secrets. In a preview of the next adventure of Ray Crusafi, he is on his way to his wife, who is currently in hiding. Ofcourse, he won’t get there without enough experiences to fill a whole new adventure.
The story is fascinating en very nice to read. I certainly would like to read the next episode. In spite of (or maybe: because of) the somewhat implausible fighting, murdering and surviving abilities of mister Ray Crusafi I have enjoyed reading the book: who doesn’t want the hero to stay alive? ( )
