This book is all about the final years of the American Civil War. The book tells details about The Siege of Petersburg, The fall of Richmond, The assignation of Lincoln, the reconstruction, and much more. The picture show what's going on and gives you an idea of what is was like. It gives interesting facts like General Sherman set everything on fire. It states the Union Army captures Atlanta, but the confedrate General set fire to their own ammunition supplies. The boook ends with the author telling you about the reconstruction of America.
I think this book is a good book to read if you need to do a presenation about The Civil War. If you want to learn more about The Civil War this is also a good book to read or just for fun. I love that the author put real pictures and drawlings. He also inclued maps which was a nice thouch. Over all this book is good for any type of reading. ( )
