Awesome start to the Silo series. It's shaping up to have the feel of a space opera, but not in space. I loved discovering the dystopian world building microcosm of the Silo, it's characters and their allegiances. You'll cheer for Juliette! The title, Wool, made me laugh when it's significance becomes apparent. ( )
The novel has been compared with the post-apocalyptic fiction of Cormac McCarthy and Justin Cronin, and is more character-driven than conventional sci-fi.
