( ) In Just One Drop there is so much more going on with the pack and with the Grey Wolves as a whole. There is an Alpha who from what I can determine is not mated and probably certifiable with delusions of grandeur wanting to take over the world and the only thing, in his mind, standing in his way is Vasile and his pack. Thad’s goal seems to be to create as much distraction and diversion as possible with in Vasile’s pack that he doesn’t see the threat until it is too late. I can honestly say I really didn’t like him at all. I think the thing that surprised me the most was the traitor in Vasile’s pack, I thought I knew who this traitor was but when she was exposed I was honestly surprised, I didn’t see that coming. Jen and Decebel’s being mates was already a forgone conclusion by the end of the second book but it comes into focus in Just One Drop as we watch them fight the attraction to each other since they are sure they can never be together because of the lack of any indicators proving they are mates. It doesn’t help that other wolves are using Jen and her antics to antagonize her Decebel. LMAO I loved the plan Jen hatches for the guys that made a movie night out of the video they took. I honestly have to say it reminded me of the plan my oldest daughter and her friends hatched to get even with the 2 boys that had harassed them for 2 years. They went through proper channels and nothing was done so the girls decided to make up wedding invitations saying the boys were getting married and taped them to almost every locker at the school. When I got to the school and listen to them tell me why my daughter (the ring leader in this) was being suspended, I told the Assistant Principal at the time that if she had done her job in the first place and protected the girls from the boys, my daughter and her friends would not have had to resort their actions and there for my daughter would not be punished at home for it. After reading Just One Drop which is book 3 in The Grey Wolves series I am convinced that Quinn Loftis maybe as awesome a writer as Laurann Dohner, who has also created an amazing world that could almost be real. If I were to compare the two authors I would be hard pressed because both do seem to pay very close attention to the details of their stories from book to book. Thankfully I am not comparing the two, because I can’t because one is a young adult writer and the other is an adult writer with similar genres but different styles both of which appeal to me. Finally the rating, I want to give Just One Drop five-stars but it has enough edits to drop the rating by one star so a four-star rating is what I am giving this amazing book with it’s amazing world. This review posting contains the body of the review, which is only a portion of the original review which is posted here http://lauralusbookreviews.blogspot.com/2017/02/heat-rating-in-just-one-drop-the... JUST ONE DROP continues just a short time after the end of BLOOD RITES. The book focuses mostly on Decebel and Jen as they continue to figure out why they are so drawn to each other without having the official mating signs. A good chunk of the book takes place at a singles type convention for un-mated wolves where they try to find their True mates. Because Jen and Decibel do not have the mating signs they are forced to attend and watch each other with other people and it isn't going so well. Jen has always been a fun character. She says whats on her mind and doesn't bullshit anyone. She has a lot of self discovery going on throughout the book and while keeping with her snarky, smart asses self she still pulls herself together to get things done. Decebel is a hard-ass on the outside but you can totally tell he is a big hearted guy on the inside. If only he would get over his fears of failing the ones he loves sooner a lot of frustration and heartache could be avoided. Quinn does a really good job with the world she has created but the characters definitely make the series and they are what keeps me coming back for more. I like that even though the focus is on a certain pair that everyone is still involved in the story and you can see everyone's growth throughout. The one thing I hated about JUST ONE DROP you ask?? The MASSIVE cliffhanger ending. There is nothing worse then reading a book to its end looking for the happily ever after and being thrown a massive curve ball that feels like its the end of all. Will it keep me from reading book 4? Heck no it is what is going to make me come back. SHE HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!! Quinn Loftis is an incredible and talented author that has had me captivated by The Grey Wolves series from the start. I have had the pleasure of befriending many wonderful people as a book blogger, but Quinn stands out from all the rest. She is an incredible and talented author and friend, but with each and every word written she continues to captivate and enthrall me at her abilities. This series take the traditional werewolf story, but adds the Quinn spice that will make is a five star read. Each and every single book has me hanging on every word; then leaves me hanging on the cliff of despair to await another book. With story that will make you laugh and cry, this emotional rollercoaster will leaving you begging for another ride. Over the past two books we have followed the trials and disasters for Jacque and Fane. They offer a innocent and deep seeded love that still leaves readers craving more. After the highlight and addition of the developing bonds between Jen and Decebel in book two I have been anxiously awaiting this next book to see just where the future will take these three crazy friends and a pack of dominant wolves. To be simply put this book completely overwhelmed me, and exceeded every expectation I had for the future of this series. Just One Drop continues to raise the bar for the series with its heart stopping and desperate love that will demand your undivided attention. Jen proves that although risky it is possible to play with fire, and come out on top. Their romance promises disaster, but it also shows dedication and loyalty that one could only dream of. While I love continuing the story of Jacque and Fane; I must admit I am mystified when it comes to Dec and Jen. I could comfortably say that this is one of my absolute favorite series. I recommend these books to everyone that I can, and will continue to follow this series with the dedication that her incredible stories demand. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Jennifer Adams, best friend to Jacque Pierce and Sally Morgan, is spicy, outspoken, a little crazy, and human . . . or so she thought. Jen has just found out that human DNA is not the only thing that resides in her veins; she happens to share that little pesky werewolf gene, although it isn't more than just a drop. Now that she and her friends are living in Romania with Fane's pack, she is also oh so conveniently stuck with the object of her affection, the fur ball Decebel. Drawn to Decebel by something she doesn't understand, Jen finds herself frustrated by the lack of mating signs between her and said fur ball. Not only is she dealing with that problem, she now has been informed that because of that little drop of werewolf blood in her she is now required to attended a multi-pack gathering for unmated wolves. This type of gathering hasn't taken place in over a century, but with a shortage of females among the werewolf population the males are getting worried they won't ever find their true mates. Meanwhile Decebel struggles with the emotions he is feeling towards Jen. He tries to keep his distance but there is just something about the mouthy blonde that keeps him coming back for more of her verbal abuse, which he just can't seem to get enough of . . . go figure.
