I lovely story about a goat who goes to playgroup and does something different to all the rest of the children. It provokes interesting discussions about which things are done on purpose and which are just accidents. ( ) My son is just over two and a half and Julia Donaldson mad. He finds the ones illustrated by Nick Sharratt simplistic in style but enjoyable, he loves the characters that have been created around these straight-forward rhymes as in books such as [[ASIN:140502190X Chocolate Mousse For Greedy Goose]] and also [[ASIN:1405021926 Hippo Has A Hat]]; so if you have a child/grandchild who likes these, then this one is for you. A little explanation was needed of what playgroup was because he attends nursery, however he soon realised what I was tlaking about and I was able to link the rhymes to his own life. As an adult I thought monkey's hearing-aid and dog's glasses were a nice touch and as a toddler, he was impressed that goat had been changed by a member of staff after having a wee (I hadn't even noticed!!). Lovely illustrations and a lovely rhyming story. Well worth a read or two or four or six ..... geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Playgroup has begun. Time to have some fun. There's a commotion in the classroom as Goat and the other animals spend the day at playgroup. The musical instruments and the dressing up box are lots of fun, but - oh dear! - Goat gets into a muddle or two. A comforting story for any child starting at, or already attending, a playgroup.
