It pulled at my heart strings and frustration regarding the love of Eden, Jericho and Kiran. It's so hard because I so wanted Jericho and Eden but this book brings so much to light that it tore at my emotions. I love this book, because we get a little more in depth to what they are going through as well as get more answers to what was Amory thinking. Any book that can get me this emotionally invested will always be a 5 star for me. And this is a series I always recommend. It is my go to series to read whenever I just don't want to read anything else or am in a reading stump. ( ) Definitely full circle for Eden. Her confrontation with Lucan ends on the same day and place they first came face to face. A beautiful love story for Kiran and Eden. I was having a little tantrum that Jericho would not get his happy ending with Eden but I knew that it would always be Kiran, I was just having a hard time getting over Kiran's betrayal along with Eden. I don't know how it happened but I fell in love with Kiran all over again even before the first chapter ended, it was so clear to see how much he loves her. Eden is a hard code to crack, she looks but does not see, she hears but she does not listen. Things were plain to see right before her eyes, but she have this need to punish herself and to be obstinate. I wanted to shake her and say open your eyes and stop being the constant martyr. Glad Eden had people to put her in her place from time to time and tell her to share the pain and get over herself already. There is so much I could say about this book but I'm afraid I would give too much away. I will say that I wasn't ready for it to end, the story was so engrossing it was hard to put down for even a minute. Okay, so I'll ignore the editing issues this time and concentrate on the storyline. I loved it. Kieran's character has grown and it makes for a whole lot of tense romance and this book actually made me cry for a whole ten minutes - I honestly couldn't stop! And it wasn't even a scene I would have said was all that powerful (the one where Jericho walks away). The ending seemed a little rushed, but if I am perfectly honest I don't know how the author could have dragged it out any longer anyway so my thoughts on that do not hold much credit. The only thing I can think of that I didn't like was how Eden's character, growing and maturing into a real heroine in the previous book, seems to have taken ten steps backwards and become a brooding, sulking, annoying teenager again, wrapped up in her own little world of 'I love him, I hate him, I love him etc etc'. She really doesn't disturb him and God help the kingdom if she wins (I won't spoil it for you). Again though, I wish I could have given an extra half star to this book. I couldn't put it down and everything tied in nicely to the previous books. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
