A book that I picked up randomly simply because I love Mark Twain, ended up enthralling me more than I expected, with what I found to be a surprisingly political story. This was an excellent study of human nature and governmental posturing and force. As always, Mark Twain's ability to draw such a human picture of each of his characters sucked me in and his balance of plot and character development kept me interested. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in an entertaining story, with a strong political thread along the lines of true human desires and the definition of freedom.
