So until the end of this book I thought B was a boy. It's a typical zombie book with the extra that the bones and teeth grow and a green moss growing over the wounds.
It was an interesting book her dad was extremely racist and abusive and in turn B is as well b/c it's taught after all. Then near the end she decides not to go with the man she loves and fears and gets turned into a zombie herself.

Shocking! Hated it because B is such a racist and a jerky bully but then....Must read the next one. ( )

I struggled with this book. The very beginning was interesting and had action, but it took a while before we got more. I didn't like B at all. She's racist and mean and doesn't know how to think for herself. I get that she was raised by a racist and abusive dad and her mom never stood up for herself or her daughter. And it would be hard to overcome that. But she knows that she's being mean and continues to do so, picking on other kids and calling them horrible things. At the end, when Tyler ate her heart, I was happy she was getting what she deserved. I don't think I'll read the next one if she's the main character. ( )
