Jean Noli nos ofrece un concienzudo estudio sobre la batalla submarina y el papel jugado en ella por uboot alemanes en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. ( ) 3994. The Admiral's Wolf Pack, by Jean Noli and translated by J. F. Bernard (read 4 March 2005) This book, published in 1974, is an account drawn from things told the Italian-born author by German submariners of World War II. Though there is some German extravagance one cannot doubt that many of the things the men went through were fearsome indeed. Many of the accounts are of German successes, which are not fun to read about, and the accounts try to put the Germans in the best possible light. I could not help but feel many of the men interviewed still wish Hitler had won the war, and I suppose that is inevitable and yet how tragic that men should wish even now (or in 1974) that Nazidom had triumphed. The book is organized in a way I disliked and is not too well written, but the stories it tells are often of high interest. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
