I thought the narrative/dialogue was snappy and entertaining. Mona was my favorite character. The artwork was very bug-eyed and dull, frankly, too ugly for me, but it worked well. that ending kiss felt weird. I thought Mona just thought of Cosmo as a cute sidekick.

In a future where corporations rule the world, Cosmo Hill is an orphan with pretty much no future, sent to the Clarissa Frayne institute for Parentally Challenged Boys (he's an orphan) he spends most of his days testing highly dangerous products and most people don't survive past 15. Cosmo is 14. Through a series of adventures he meets the Supernaturalists who see something that sucks something from ill people. They're not the only ones chasing these creatures, but there are more secrets and lies lurking around the story.
The art didn't really appeal to me, but it was interesting and made me want to hunt up the original book to compare and contrast. ( )

Actually, if it weren't for the fact that Eoin Colfer wrote the original story behind this, it would be a one-star rating. As a fan of the original novel, I can say I was less than pleased with this adaptation, although it had a few good spots that kept it from being a total wash-out and it certainly kept my interest long enough for me to bother finishing it.

I read the novel back in 2013.
I like reading graphic novel versions of things. It's fun.
I like the graphics, they're a bit grotesque.
