He was sent on an undercover mission in which he was told there would be no danger, but, of course, he winds up fighting multiple assailants as only Jack Reacher can. ( ) Deep Down is a short story Jack Reacher adventure. There were no horrible deaths or hot sex. There was, however, a good story wherein Jack Reacher is assigned a mission of locating a spy amongst three women. The book was a good story leaving the reader wanting more.
