This book contains newspaper cuttings that don't seem to make any sense, double entendres, stating the obvious, criminally insane letters to the newspapers, unbelievable headlines and all too believable headlines. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

"Cannibal victims speak out!" includes unfathomable news cuttings like "Clinging to a chrome post in the middle of the carriage was a nun about 30 years old, dishevelled, red-faced, and totally catatonic with alcohol. The arrival of a 12-stone man in a bright red beret and mirror shades, surprisingly, did little to alleviate his anxiety."
The only problem is that this is a slim volume in large font so it can be read very quickly, although, if you're like me, you'll want to re-read entries like "Mrs Thatcher pointed out several landmarks to ten-year-old Toby Blackledge from Bow, who sucked his orange lollipop and promised loyal support. He said afterwards, 'She stands for everything I believe in.'" ( )
