A wonderful book much better written that I thought it would (not sure if it's ghost written or not), very old school but in the best way. A look at the American and British upper crust in the first half of the twentieth century. The Abdication crisis is strictly from her perspective and not really from anyone elses. The book is alot more than just the 1930's though. The only thing I thought was lacking was their visit to nazi Germany, it is mentioned but I felt it was very rushed and the explanation, if true, seems extremely naive. Overall I found it very enlightening and while I'm a man it has the feel of a book written for Ladies (and the occasional Gentleman)by a Lady. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
