I liked reading "The Man from the Land of Fandango" for three reasons. First, I enjoyed looking at all of the creative and colorful illustrations. The illustrator appears to use watercolors. Using the watercolors, the illustrations really caught my eye (a big bison was wearing a pair of red high heals). Second, the text flowed and some of it rhymed. With the rhyming text, it made it much easier to read and follow along (and baboons on bassoons make a musical sound, and the kangaroos come with a hop and a bound). Third, I liked how the font was never in a straight line. The font stayed curved and matched the illustrations well. "The Man from the Land of Fandango" is about a man who has an adventure with different animals in this imaginary world. The big idea behind the text is that it is meant to be an exciting book for children to read. It includes rhyming, has appealing and funny illustrations, and the text is structured differently, making it fun to read. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
