This book is about toys who get left outside and get abducted by an alien who is looking for friends. They adventure through space and make lots of new friends but return back to Earth before the sun is up so they can be played with the next day.

Toys in space is a book I highly recommend. Though this book has a challenging structure for younger children, it has a great storyline. The text in the book is almost setup like a graphic book which can be difficult for some children to follow, but the story line goes along with being kind and being a good friend. I loved not only the moral of this story, but the illustrations as well. The illustrations were very detailed and colorful which make it very eye catching to a child. ( )

When a boy leaves his toys outside over night they end up getting abducted by an alien. This alien is known for abducting toys at night because he is lonely. The toys tell him it is not nice to steal peoples toys and convince him to return all the toys back to earth. The alien saves his favorite toy which keeps him company. The toys are returned back to right where they were when the alien picked them up and the boy went back to playing with his toys like nothing ever happened. This is a good science fiction book because it deals with outer space and aliens . ( )
