Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini have learned the ins and outs of Washington politics, not the mention how to prevail in intergalactic war and foil dangerous plots. But, in the aftermath of Operation Destruction, the Gower girls' powers are burned out, the entire A-C population has been "outted" as aliens living on Earth and ACE is nowhere to be found. Then murder and mayhem are served up at an important dinner party at the American Centaurion Embassy and when the dust settles Alpha Team and the Diplomatic Corps have more problems than just a dead Congressman. It's up to Kitty and the rest of the gang to find out what's really going on and why. But will they be able to stop the killer or killers before the rest of the U.S. House of Representatives become casualties?… (meer)

This edition of the Kitty Katt series seemed a bit more detailed and complex than some of the previous ones. Now we have to find a mastermind and all minions vying for apprentice position. Kitty is visited by people we thought long gone, some are good to see and some not so great. In addition to all the madness of who's killing who, and who's out to get the aliens, we have Jamie's first birthday approaching as well as a wedding to plan! I was more saddened by some of the losses in this book than I have been in the past books. I think Kitty's own grieving contributed to that. But in the end, we've found at least the apprentices and made some new friends along the way. ( )

How does she do it? The craziness that must be Koch's brain, I just never know with this series. Who is the bad guy? How will it end, how will anything happen? But then that is why it's a fun ride.

So what did happen? Well Kitty is trying to find out why people are dying left and right. With her she has poofs, birds and the usual gang, and of course she makes new friends.

There is drama, shootings, death, smexy times, politics, wedding plans and a birthday party for Jamie to plan. Just another normal day in the life of Kitty Katt.

So this review was much better before I accidentally deleted it. Now I do not know what to say. Koch is just insane, all the plot threads here and there. I always wonder how she keeps track of things so that we in the end can find a murderer.

Conclusion:
Another fun adventure, and as always crazy in the best way. ( )

Really enjoy this series. There are state representatives dying left and right and too many right in front of Kitty. Jeff is asked to step in and become a representative for new Mexico with the death of that representative at their dinner party. Kitty gets new 'uncles' in the Dingo and Surly Vic, who doesn't have assassins adopt them? She also gets to train a couple of princesses from the Amazon planet. ( )

TLDR: Now, other than these two (well, three if you count the names . . . which I should) things, this novel is much like the rest. Maybe too much. I felt the jokes getting a little stale, the conversations getting a bit repetitive and the characterizations getting a little trite. Therefore, I would rate this one a little lower than average for this series – 2.5. I am rounding down to 2 because I am irritated. (And, that means the book was OK – not that I didn’t like it.) Will I buy the next one? Sigh. Yes. I do think without the political venue, I would have enjoyed this a lot more.

The meat of the review (such as it is) can be found @ Silk Screen Views: Alien in the House Review ( )

Once again, rip-roaring good fun. Except when the exposition tries to keep you up with the storyline. They are introduced to the gritty side of politics in this one. And shown that no one can keep up with everything that is going on. ( )
