Note: I accessed a digital review copy of this book through Edelweiss. ( ) This is a book that I was initially drawn to because of the little African American boy building with blocks. As a preschool teacher, I see this image so often; I was curious what this book was about that went along with the topic of “diversity” besides the fact that the child on the cover is African American. I was pleased to see the diversity within the pages and was quickly informed that this book describes the beauty of what children build can relate to extravagant buildings that have played a role in history over the years. I was blown away by the creativity in the placement of the text and flow of the poetry throughout the book. The images were children’s versions of what could be compared to buildings found across the world. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
