A quick read, typical 50 shades but different...heh..now for book #2... ( )

For anyone that has read and liked the 50 shades books you will like this trilogy.
The first half of the book is told by Dylan
And the second half is from Isabela's (Isa) perspective I found this style interesting

Downloaded the trilogy to my kindle app, didn't expect much for 77p, felt sure it would be a let down, 3 whole books for 77p had to have a fault but omg how wrong could I be! Haven't been able to put them down - its been takeaways and missed tv programmes all week! Will definitely look into Ella's other books!

If you like a story that goes with the sex rather than the sex with little surrounding substance then seriously download, make sure you have lots of quick cook food, lock the door and read! Dylan = delish, Isa = no pushover, definitely won't lie down and do as she's told! Aside from those to there are a myriad of other characters and I'm looking forward to finding out more about Sawyer!

This is a story of Dylan & Isabel two very real and likeable characters. Dylan is a young man in his 30’s who has successfully conquered his past computer hacking and risen to run his own security firm. Dylan has just about everything he could want, looks, great wardrobe money, cars, and a great place to live. Isabel is a quiet, innocent 25 year old who lives a sheltered life, and devotes her time to art, whether working at Gallery 210 or putting her deepest thoughts and desires onto canvas. Hidden under her out dated, baggy clothing, lives a humorous, feisty, intelligent woman, seeking the carnal needs from her dreams.

At a gallery art showing, Dylan views paintings that stir a buried desire, that speak to his most carnal needs – one that has been dormant for many years. Although the painting are not for sale, Dylan manages to purchase the art and takes it immediately home. Dylan becomes driven to find the artist, to learn if they also share the dreams and desires the painting stir in him. Isabel finds out the day after the showing that her painting have been purchased, and goes on a mission to get them back – she feels a part of herself has been laid bare for all to see.

It took me a little bit to get into writing style because of the separate 2 person POV’s (which at times got a little repetitive), sometimes I would skim Isabel’s section, but many times I found little tidbits of info that were not given in Dylan’s POV.

The BDSM elements in the story, are very light and generic – in fact the BDSM roles (Dom and Submissive) play a larger part in the story then the actual practice of the lifestyle. I really enjoyed watching Isabel’s “topping from the bottom” as her character found the strength and desire to try and conquer some her demons, and Dylan’s honesty that he actually liked some of the domination she dished out. The story of Dylan and Isabel is one of control, negotiation and love, we have emotional ups and downs, angst, secrets, jealousy, and challenges to their success as a couple along the whole journey.

I enjoyed the book very much, and look forward to the follow-on, which hope will be out soon.
