This book was extremely enjoyable to read because the writing style of the book of asking "Who's tail is this?" and then showing you a picture of a tail and requiring you to guess what animal the tail belonged to was a fun way to learn facts about tails. Even while I was reading it, I found myself becoming excited to find out whether or not my guess about which animal the tail belonged to was correct. I think that it is very important for informational books to not only give facts, but to also invoke curiosity in students to learn about the book and I feel that this book managed to do this. The big picture of this book was to teach children about a variety of tails and who each tail belonged to.

There are two main reasons that I like this book. First, I like the organization and the flow of the book. The book asks questions to the reader and on the next page has a response. I think that this makes the book a fun read by answering the questions. For example, a question that is asked is, "Who has this tail?" There is then a picture of an animal's tale and the reader then has to figure it out who it belongs to. The book does this to 9 different animals. The second thing that I liked is the author gives facts about how the animal uses their tail on the next page. The short and sweet description is very informative to the reader. For example, " A peacock uses its tail to attract a mate." or "A beaver uses its tail to steer in the water." These facts also engage the reader to learn more about that animal.
Overall, the big idea behind this book is to be informative about the functions of different animals tails. ( )
