I had to give this one a lot of thought.
There were things I loved about it & things I didn't.
I thought the basis of the story was good. What sex scenes we got was decent. Not 'Set the world on Fire' but hot enough.
My 2 major problems were the writing was a bit jumpy and the cliffhanger.
This is a short read of about 150 pages. Just as the story was getting really interesting 'BAM' cliffhanger. The End.
And the weird thing is, the next book is a different set of mc's.
Yet I felt cheated. In fact, I was so pissed off I put this in my Book Rejected shelf.
Now, after almost 9 years!, I'm curious about the rest of the series & I'm seriously thinking about picking it back up. At least for bk#2. See how it goes.

It was a sweet story and a quick easy read.

"Wolf's Haven" is based around Tamara, who is escaping an abusive relationship. She meets a wolf Devin sexy hot who helps her to safety.

Wolf's Haven needed more conflict. The action scene(s) was/were way to quick for my liking. Elisa who is Devin's half-sister warned Tamara to be careful, but be careful of what and why; nothing happened. Maybe its a foreshadow for the other books. At this point I was hoping something would happen.
The book needed to be longer. Everything happened in such a short time frame. Lots of potentially story lines in book, but compacting them left the story feeling like it was lacking.

It was a nice quick sweet romantic read, but I felt like the story need more. Maybe more happens in the rest of the series. ( )

I was given this book by the author for an honest review. My 3 stars is for book length, not quality of the story.

This is sweet, quick, easy to read story. Our heroine, Tamara has finally found the strength to leave an abusive relationship, but is injured in her jump from a three story building. Escaping, but unable to walk, or climb a fence to freedom she is befriended by a mysterious wolf with big green eyes, for some reason she trusts this wolf. Waking up in a cabin, she has no memory of how or where she is, or who the handsome man is that she sees upon opening her eyes.

Devon, the cabins owner, doesn't understand the protective instinct possessing him when he meets Tamara,and offers her a place to recover from her injuries. As time progresses, history and secrets are shared (some by accident), trust & friendship is developed, Tamara finally feels safe.
As the blue moon approaches, Devon must decide if he will assume the role of Alpha to his former pack, a role he really doesn't want. In true wolf hierarchy, there is an adversary who wants the role, Darius challenges Devon for pack leadership, but loses in the end. Devon attributes his strength of will, and courage to take on the Alpha role to his new love and knowledge that even thought she is human, Tamara is his mate.

Tamara and Devin were very likable characters, and I saw great promise in some of the supporting cast, like Devin's half sister Elisa, his friend Nick, pack elder Roman and even Darius. Hopefully the follow on book(s) will allow for cameo appearances and more development of our cast of characters.

The story flows well, the sex is steamy, and although our timeline is condensed, and characters are not as developed as they could be, I didn't feel like I was being cheated out of anything. I felt like Wolf’s Haven was a complete novella

At first the story interested me, but after a while I got so fed up with all the spelling and grammar mistakes I gave up on it. This has not been edited at all. Glad it was free. DNF ( )

Wow, what a book! I loved everything about this book. The plot was great...a woman trying to break free from a troubled life that is ironically saved from that life by a wolf, who has secrets of his own like he is really a shifter and is a man too who has a life that is nothing but complicated right now. Then there is the romance line of woman falling for said shifter. The writing was great. It just flowed through the pages like a running river. Never was there a lull point or a point that I didn't want to continue reading on. If descriptions and vividness were flowers this author had a full bouquet in this book! It all seemed so real to me as a reader. You add in amazing characters like Tamara and Devin and this is just a perfect book! Tamara may seem like a usual damsil in distress, but there is so much more to her. Devin may seem like the hero shifter who tries to get the girl, but he too is so much deeper than that. There is a hint of those stereotypical characters in them, but then the author went further with them to make them more developed and deeper than just that. I read this book in one day and I am going to seek out the next book in this series too. I can't wait to see where Tamara and Devin go. This book had it all, paranormal, action, drama, and romance. Loved it and I think any reader out there looking for a quick, easy, but great read will too. I highly recommend. Take into account, however, that this book does have two or three scenes of sex written into it when you are picking it up, in case that is not your preference. They are not super drawn out scenes, but are in there.
