This book is a breathtaking commemoration of the photo journalism adn reporting that won an unprecedented six Pulitzer Prizes for The New York Times, as well as the George Polk Award for national and foreign reporting. It records the full range of events from the moment of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon to the Anthrax scare, the war in Afghanistan, the quick fall of the Taliban and efforts to build a nation in a war-torn land of hungry people, feuding with the tribals, and a fragile governement. The results, based on the prize winning daily special section of the The Times.
This book is absolutely amazing. It captures the details that some did not get to see. Very informational, a wonderful book for one see see the background on how these brutal attack changed our nation.
