I’m not a big fan of YA books but I won this book in a contest and thought the whole Snow White/vampire twist sounded interesting. The book started good but I was relieved to be done with it by the end.
The heroine, Snow, is your average teenage girl with a serious case of clumsiness and insecurities. She has one best girl friend, Cindy, and seven best guy friends who live next door with their adoptive father, Professor Pops. Turns out, Snow is a possible ‘chosen one’ to be the new host for the evil Vampire Queen and her guy friends, along with Pops, are her protectors and trainers. They’ve waited for years to step up and let her know the truth. Snow has developed a fascination with Christopher, the hunter/vampire who bit her and brought her into the world of supernatural creatures, and he seems to truly care about her even though he’s supposed to deliver her to the evil queen.
My biggest problem with this book is that Snow and her protectors pretend that life is just fine even though Snow’s life is in danger and she craves blood. She still goes to school and track practice, and she struggles not to attack people for their blood. Also, other fairytale creatures are trying to kill her yet she tries to live normally. Professor Pops and his boys keep things from her but they are surprised when she keeps things from them, like her growing relationship with Christopher. I understand she wants her life to go back to normal, everyone around her tries to make it so, but it just can’t be. I don’t like whiny heroines who complain about their lives and refuse to take action, and heroes who lie to the heroine and then disappears when she needs them. I don’t even know who the hero was in this book: her friend and secret crush Gabriel or her sexy chew toy Christopher who uses the name Chase in the human realm.
I understand this is a three-book series with cliffhangers (I only have book 1) but there should’ve been more information on the people in Snow’s life. All the magical stuff that happens is easily accepted by everyone and it baffled me. It just didn’t seem believable, especially with what happened to Cindy and why the boys accept her but don’t want her around Snow. Very confusing. Maybe this is just the adult in me talking. I didn’t like teen books when I was teen, but I wanted to give this a chance since the plot sounded interesting.
Will teenage girls like this? Probably.
Will women? Doubtful, but that’s just my opinion.
Written in passive voice in first POV, the book could use a little editing—missing commas and unnecessary paragraph indentions—but the writing flowed well.

$.99 for whole Kindle set on Amazon. Worth a shot.

What I love about the ebook pack is that it has all 12 volumes in one book. It's so convenient!
And I do love RaShelles writing style! The similarities to the original snow white were amusing to me I love the 7 brothers, and Professor pops.
I didn’t really understand the absent father and crazy step mom (like… is it even legal to leave a 15 year old alone for months?) I liked the story, and the world building. The vampire queen tale, and her magic. I liked Cindy and her new found power. I even liked Christopher.
Snow White isn't a girly girl in this book. Snow White is pretty down to Earth and is a klutzy character. She is told that she is really a changeling (or a reverent), meaning she is part vampire and part human and the Vampire Queen has sent a Hunter after her to prepare her. The Queen needs a new body every 1,000 years and Snow is in the running. Kenmei and Pops were both Hunters but left the Hive (vampire culture is set up like bees) when they fell in love with their Chosen. Now they want to kill the Queen and bring balance to magic back to the world, as the Queen greedily, keep it all to herself .
There are hundreds of Chosen at a time, but most die in the selection process. In order for the Queen's magic to work, the reverent must drink the blood of their true love and then consume his heart .
There is a special necklace, which can help her to restore the balance. Kenmei tells her it has great magic, it was created by the original vampire, Silandra, who also happens to have been the Queen's twin sister, whom she killed. (We also happen to learn that vamps didn't have human form before and they where here before human come to be exist)

Snow white don't know who is her true love and the author keep us dangling all along between Gabe and Charming till the surprised twist.

Summery :
Overall it is light and nice fast YA story. ( )

Review for The Complete Set
Background: Snow White is not the Snow White, yes she is beautiful and unique, but her parents were just quirky when they named her. Snow White has been chosen by the Vampire Queen to be a body for her ever changing form and Snow must find it within herself to resist her and even kill the Queen for the bettering of life for magical creatures.

Review: I waited until the last minute to start reading this book for review and was very surprise by how fast I flew through it. The compilation is a series of novelettes combined to make up the whole story, they are short and interesting, and all of them ended on a cliff hanger, bombshell, or sultry moment which made you only want more..so I kept reading.

I really liked this plot, Snow White as a fairy tale is interesting but Snow White the teenage vampire is exciting and suspenseful. I loved Snow she was a klutzy teen almost 16 in the beginning and then reaching 19 by the end of the series, she was real (except for the Vampire thing). She had issues and boy problems and a best friend who was her complete opposite but knew her better than everyone. I liked following her story.

The other characters were great too, there were 'the boys' seven teens adopted but her neighbor, all with there interesting personalities and love for Snow, their childhood friend. Cindy, is Snow's best friend, she is friendly to the point of almost annoying, but goodhearted. And lastly the Vampire Queen and Christopher, mysterious and seductive, and all vampire-y...it was a great mix.

I really enjoyed everything about this series/ set. The author did a wonderful job of keeping me entertained and excited to read more.

The only issue that I had was there was a lot of sexy moments, and Snow starts out as a 15 year old. I am not saying that 15 year-olds don't have sexy make out moments but there were A LOT and sometimes that got awkward. Overall though, so GOOD! ( )

This is a collective review for the first four books in the series.

Books like these make me want to smash my head on the wall repetitively because I cannot, just cannot, understand WHY this book has such high rating.

*bangs her head on the wall again*

I could not, at any given point in the story, understand Snow's reactions to events. How can somebody be so clueless? Really - the girl has no freaking idea what is going on and all explanations given to her ends up with her exploding off in a fit of temper which makes no sense whatsoever.

Oh, and the love story. If I had not been reading an ebook version of this book I cannot guarantee what I would've done to this book. It was a total WTF! thing. I was thinking Geeez Snow! Make up your mind already! I could not even figure out which of the guys were love interests and which were not. *facepalm*

You know what makes this worse? The book had such great potential. Snow White and vampires. Who could resist? I was expecting creepy vampires and an evil queen sending them to capture Snow. And action - all bloody and gory action. Instead, I got a book with pure and innocent Snow, who was clueless about all the guys around her tripping over their feet to get her *eyeroll* and of course her going on and on about her 1)Clumsiness, 2)Innocence, 3)Inexperience with boys (sound like someone, or someones, you know?). And don't even get me started on Charming! Or any of the dwarves who were all normal height. All vampire action I got on the book was love bites on the neck! FREAKING LOVE BITES!! *screams in frustration*

I'm sorry, but I just... couldn't.

The most depressing thing is I am going to read the fifth installment because I am an idiot who likes to torture herself.
